Awards and Excellence
The Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute brings together the two most respected orthopedic and sports medicine practices in Central Florida: the Jewett Orthopaedic Clinic, with eight decades of service and innovation, and Orlando Health, home to the region’s only Level One Trauma Center for adults and children.
Training the Next Generation of Orthopedic Specialists
According to the Journal of American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Orlando Health’s orthopedic residency program ranks fourth in the United States, with more than 70 years of excellence in graduate medical education. In addition to 20 residents, which will expand to 25 by 2023, we offer three fellowships – one each in orthopedic trauma, pediatric orthopedics and orthopedic sports medicine – making Orlando Health one of the most extensive and advanced orthopedic educational programs in the region.
High-Volume, Expert Care
Our outpatient and clinical programs, offered in various locations throughout Central Florida, care for more than 250,000 patients each year. Our doctors bring expertise in orthopedic care innovations, having participated in the design and development of several total hip, knee and shoulder replacement systems used worldwide. We also care for thousands of adults and children who come through Orlando Health’s Level One Trauma Center – the only Level One Trauma Center in Central Florida and the busiest in the state.
