Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) is a genetic condition that causes benign (noncancerous) tumors to form on a
child’s organs. This complex condition can affect the brain, heart, liver, kidneys, lungs, skin and eyes.
As tumors grow, they may cause neurological symptoms including seizures, developmental delays and other
disabilities.
At Orlando Health Children's Neuroscience Institute, supported by the Leon Pediatric Neuroscience Fund, our
team offers compassionate, comprehensive care for children and young adults up to 21 years of age with
tuberous sclerosis.
We are nationally recognized by the
Tuberous Sclerosis Complex Alliance
as a designated Tuberous Sclerosis Clinic for effectively treating TSC while meeting national standards of
excellence.
